The Eames Plastic Armchair PACC is the desk chair version of the iconic Eames shell chair by Charles & Ray Eames, with a height adjustable five star base on castors. It's a good fit if you want the look of the Eames classic combined with the comfort of a chair that moves with you at a desk, for example in a home office or executive room.
The five star base is made of polished die cast aluminium with double castors, and the seat height adjusts from 375 to 500 mm. That means you can actually use this shell chair at a desk, unlike the DAR or DAW version of the same shell, which has a fixed seat height and is mainly meant for a dining table or meeting room. The castors are made for hard floors though, so on carpet you're better off with a version fitted with castors for soft flooring.
