For the fit-out of the offices of logistics automation company E’Log Automation, the expertise of Burocomfort By Buro International was called upon. The offices are located in Business Center d’Oude Fruitveiling in Sint-Niklaas. Furnishing them was quite a feat, as there was only one month to transform empty spaces into a beautifully furnished workplace!
With our expert help, furniture from the previous office was not only reused but also complemented with attractive and practical new pieces. The aim was to create a homely, modern atmosphere while also integrating functional elements. The colours of the company logo, white, red and black, were also worked into the interior. Above all, a large open space office layout was needed, due to the company’s growth.
The waiting area on the first floor was fitted with two DAPPER Lounge Chairs by HAY, designed by Doshi Levien. The extra-wide back of this lounge chair provides optimum comfort and elbow support when working on a laptop. The base is powder-coated black, and different upholstery colours were chosen, including the red that echoes the company logo. The compact cream-coloured BOWLER side table in powder-coated steel with a granite base, by designer Shane Schneck, is also by HAY, as is the black, elegant and understated three-legged BELLA coffee table in front of it. A Pebble rug makes the corner warm and cosy. Opposite, against the wall, stands a red BEJOT Quadra QD modular sofa with a black base. It once again highlights the colours of the company logo and is ideal for a foyer-type space in an office. In front of it we placed a round meeting table by König + Neurath. Around it are the elegant, stackable black Italian KASIA chairs by Gaber. They have a metal frame. For optimum comfort, a black adjustable ergonomic JOYCE is3 swivel office chair by Interstuhl was placed behind the reception desk. The chair has armrests and a base on castors.
In the canteens, the handy black KASIA chairs by Gaber were again combined with a red BEJOT QUADRA QD modular sofa. The round meeting tables by König + Neurath AG also come in handy here, alternating with square tops in the canteen. The elegant black Italian KASIA STOOL bar stools by Gaber are ideal at the bar. Handily, these are stackable too. The three-metre-long HAY CPH30 table is perfect for this large canteen. This remarkable dining table by designers Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec has a clean, timeless design and is very practical. It stands firmly on four angled legs. The French brothers originally designed this ‘Copenhague’ series for the University of Copenhagen. The design had to be durable and easy to clean. Ideal, then, for use in a canteen.
The separate small meeting rooms were also refitted with red BEJOT QUADRA QD modular sofas combined with square König + Neurath discussion tables.
Other small meeting rooms received an oval Minato Onyx Ellips table with a black base, perfect for the repurposed office chairs.
At the top of the stairs, a cozy seating area was created. Here, we again see a warm Pebble rug, on which a comfortable red and light-colored DAPPER Lounge Chair by HAY was placed. Between them is the compact cream-colored BOWLER side table. And here too, the fun black BELLA coffee table by HAY completes the seating area. Occasionally, poufs by Narbutas are also present here. We supplied them in grey and red.
The testing room was equipped with comfortable, adjustable ergonomic JOYCE is3 swivel office chairs from Interstuhl, which can also be found in other workspaces.
The JOYCE is3 swivel office chairs from Interstuhl in black and red, again the colors of the company logo, are found in the scattered workstations, just like the ACTIVE.T, Double-Bench desks from König + Neurath which are equipped with an anthracite middle panel that provides the necessary privacy. They are motorized and individually electrically adjustable. Ideal for alternating between sitting and standing work! They have a grey-white top and black frame. From the same company, many BASIC.4 tables were also supplied, in the same colors. These are classic 4-leg desks with an excellent price-quality ratio. The handy loose ACTA.PLUS cabinets from König + Neurath are placed here in a scattered arrangement. They are grey-white and have a black handle, and a black planter was always mounted on top of them.
In the meeting room for ten people, we placed the Veneto XL meeting table with a black base from the Belgian company Perfecta; the former meeting chairs were reused there.
The large meeting room was fitted with the fun and comfortable AAC ‘About A Chair’ 24 chairs by HAY, designed by Hee Welling. They are made of polypropylene and were ordered in two colours, red and white, recalling the company logo.
We also provided this workplace with bins, the Ditch 3 pedal in raven black, a waste sorting system by designer Frans de la Haye. Two large metal locker cabinets from Locker DarkLine have a sleek, modern look and meet the practical demands of daily use. Thanks to their robust construction and deep dark colour, these lockers fit perfectly into an office space. A few separate red stools by TabCollege were also delivered.
Finally, we also supplied some ICT equipment, such as a Sony LCD display, and on both floors we placed several large, playful open shelving units that serve both as a partition and as storage: the Combus by Narbutas. The compartments are in walnut and black. The cabinet has open shelves, but also storage drawers and metal panels.
